He carries a lot of the influence of and looks a whole lot like the old RR Rito
707 bull. Although I’ve used him on heifers and never had to touch calf, he’s not a heifer bull. His calves do seem to
have a lot of life and intelligence. They’re not the kind you’ll have to help nurse.
He stamps his sons with table top backs and wide rumps. We don’t have any of
his daughters in production yet but they seem to have a feminine look about
them. In other words there’s a good distinction between the sexs. Not all sires
can do that.
“Update”
Pictured below are two Memento 8RL8 1st calvers . You can click on them to enlarge.
Bar Broadback 710 This bull is the result of a half sib mating. He came into the world weighing 75 lbs and ended up with a 881 lb adjusted 205 day weight out of a first calf heifer. He was one of our high sellers in 2010. I used him AI a little bit and have one of his sons for sale this year.

This bull’s sons were among the favorites in last year’s sale. His first daughters
coming into production right now indicate that he will be a cowmaker as well.
He ought to be. That’s what he was designed to do.
RR Rito 707; RR Rito was born in 1967 in the Rollin Rock herd, owned by
master breeder, Dale Davis. Although he was born in 1967, his progeny are still in great demand today.
I’ve seen an ampule of 707 semen sell for $10,000. Our cattle carry a good deal of 707 influence. For example, calf #033 traces to him 74 times.
